Such BS...

Yeah. Because audio can travel through space. And guess what, idiots. Reversing the polarity won't break a light, or even turn it off. Ever heard of alternating current? It reverses polarity 50/60 times per second depending on where you live. The only kind of light that will be extinguished by a change in polarity is a LED, which are not generally used for lighting (used for indicators such as the HDD light on a computer, etc). The sodium vapor lights used in street lights could not care less. Total bullshit. Also, if they can read your mind from space, why haven't they applied it to medicine? Finding Bin Laden? In court?
