Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachyov (Михаи́л Серге́евич Горбачёв), Mihail Sergeevič Gorbačëv, (mʲɪxʌˈil sʲɪrˈgʲejɪvʲɪʨ gərbʌˈʨof), commonly written as Mikhail Gorbachev; born March 2 1931) was the last dictator of the Soviet Union. He ruled from 1985 until its collapse in 1991.
